A flaw was found in libssh. A remote authenticated peer can advertise a zero maximum packet size in SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_OPEN, causing later channel writes to loop indefinitely and consume CPU, leading to denial of service.

This Finding goes back to Plausible since it ended-up not being resolved in the release as previously claimed by upstream.

Upstream libssh states:

we managed to miss one of the fixes for CVE-2026-59843 so this is a fixup release including this missing commit
